I am looking for highly motivated and talented researchers to join my lab at KAIST. If you are interested in working on research in the field of culture technology, please feel free to reach out to me. For more details, please refer to the sections below.
I will be affiliated with the GSCT (Graduate School of Culture Technology) at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) starting August 2026.
My new lab will be an interdisciplinary research group in the field of cultural technology. We will be designing instruments and acoustic devices that enable physical/digital interaction, based on physics-based sound and acoustic simulation technology. Through this, our lab aims to develop new instruments and novel musical technologies. The primary technologies our lab employs are (but not limited to):
Regardless of your level of interest in the above methodologies, our lab welcomes anyone from diverse backgrounds who has a new problem definition or can propose a new methodology for solving problems. You can find a relevant work from here, which shows a great high-level summary of a work that I have been joining as a postdoc at MIT.
Our lab operates bilingually in Korean and English, and I am committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all members, regardless of their language proficiency. Our lab encourages open communication and collaboration among lab members and I strive to create a supportive and positive lab culture.
The lab is located in KAIST campus in Daejeon, South Korea.
